About the campaign and my role..

I Ameek Baath feeling privilege to engage in UPMA Young Ambassador program to support UPMA’s cause and to raise funds for UPMA Global (Uttar Pradesh Mandal of America) a non-profit organization focusing on the education of underprivileged kids in rural and tribal areas of India.

This campaign is a initiative in which selected high school students will participate in a fundraising to benefit UPMA’s cause. We are raising critical dollars to provide school and pre-school education to the extremely poor children in underdeveloped villages in India, thereby offering them an opportunity to succeed in their lives.

I am requesting you to support me “UPMA’s Young Ambassador” campaign to raise funds for UPMA's noble cause. Your each dollar is a vote for me as two students who raises the most money at the end of the program will be named "UPMA’s Young Ambassador" and will be honored in UPMA Annual Fundraising Event with Bollywood celebrity singer Shilpa Rao on Dec 12th, 2020.

Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention right of basic education for every kid who is left behind due to social-economic cause. We like poor kids from these families to live/enjoy their childhood along with a better education foundation, which can help them to grow in their careers.

This is the message UPMA wanted me to pass along:

UPMA currently provides elementary and secondary school education to 300 children aged 7-12 years at Saidham in Bundelkhand and has set up ten daycare centers for 350 children aged 3-6 years in tribal villages around Chitrakoot. The team expects to double these numbers in 2021. For just under $3000, UPMA is able to set up and run a daycare center for 30 children in a village. Most of the tribal living in these villages are extremely poor and since both parents work as farm labor, their younger children aged 3-6 have to be looked after by their older siblings 7-12, leaving both children deprived of any kind of formal schooling. Our goal in setting up the day care centers is to allow the older siblings to attend formal school in the village, while taking care of the pre-schooling needs of the younger ones. For a mere $100 we are able to support their pre-school needs for year including material needs such as school bags, books, notebooks, writing material, even a uniform and shoes etc. The reason we are able to do that is because UPMA has virtually no overhead or administrative costs, almost every penny goes to the cause of the children’s education.

We might not be affected, but we certainly can make a difference. We need your help to achieve this goal to make a lasting difference and it’s simple. You can make donation using any method below:
