Goals of UPMA
5 Goals of UPMA
1. Uttar Pradesh Mandal of America ( UPMA) Working WithUP Govt. to Support and Enhance Anganwadi Across Uttar Pradesh.
Anganwadi is a rural child care center in India. These Anganwadi provide non-formal preschool education, basic food, and health education. There are close to 106,128 Anganwadi centers in UP.
UPMA's Goal is to work with Anganwadi and further enhance services like providing nutritious food, improved pre-education, school bags, shoes, sweaters, and much more for children. With the help of Anganwadi, UPMA will also connect with poor villagers/parents, where we can support families with multiple initiatives. For example, recently, UPMA donated thousands of kambals to all families of UPMA's daycare and UPMA students. UPMA is currently running ten daycare centers and funding the education of the underprivileged back in India.
During COVID, UPMA provided financial aid/food/oxygen concentrators/oxi meters, and much more and spent thousands of dollars. Anganwadi will allow us to reach and serve needy people.
We all know the next innovation is from Villages in India; besides uplifting Aaganwadi, UPMA aims to digitize Aaganwadi and put laptops/computers. But, the sky is a limit to what we can do for underprivileged young children; UPMA is committed to changing the lives of underprivileged people in India.
2.Women's Empowerment and Economic Development of UP
Anganwadi also opens up a door where, via UPMA we can work on the economic development of low-income families, women empowerment, and projects to connect the underprivileged to the external world.
Last year, a group of 10 officials from Smart Village Movement visited UP; besides meeting with Gov. Anandi ben Patel, we also met with secretaries and ministers. The smart village movement provides four verticals - Education, Healthcare, Household, and Agriculture. The smart village movement involves companies from US and India. This is already running successfully in the Meghalaya state; we are working to bring it to UP.
With Anganwadi, UPMA will have access to underprivileged families. We can work to replicate models where villagers, especially women at home, build products that are sold in the US and worldwide.
We like to promote companies in the US to invest in UP. UPMA can help with Govt. resources and connections and leverage the existing UP Govt program.

OSAAT is committed to re-build 50 new schools (each costs approximately INR 60 lacs) and digitizing 50 schools (each costs around INR six lacs). OSAAT has signed MoU with UP Govt. for the above projects and done meetings with the principal secretaries of UP.
